Web3, Cybersecurity, AI, DeepTech, FoodTech, Metaverse – these are the topics addressed by VivaTech 2023 in Paris. And right in the middle of it all: Twiliner.
Innosuisse and Switzerland Global Enterprise trusted us and invited us to present Twiliner at the Swisstech Pavilion. A tempting invitation to Europe’s largest startup and tech fair! How could one resist, especially when there is the prospect of exciting investors, forging partnerships, and discovering products that could make our customer journey even more exciting?
On the extra car of the TGV, our board member Sabine Lötscher traveled with other startups and investors from Zurich to Paris. The evening was rounded off with a cocktail party in the garden of the residence of the Swiss Ambassador in Paris.

When the fair then opened its doors, we became part of an impressive technology carnival. Thousands of startups presented their futuristic solutions: From drones and AI apps to zu complex software interfaces and high-tech weapons to VR sports equipment, CO2 filter solutions, and hydrogen-powered hypersonic aircrafts. And there, amidst the chaos, we proudly presented Twiliner and our innovative night travel concept.
Tens of thousands of visitors flocked to the fair, causing a noise level like on the runway of the airport during peak times. Amidst all the hustle and bustle: Emmanuel Macron, protected by his security personnel, and Elon Musk, swarmed by journalists like Michael Jackson in his heyday. And not in the middle of it, but somewhere in the exhibition hall: Joël and I at the Twiliner booth, overwhelmed by the size of the fair.

In today’s high-tech world, the products and concepts of startups can be amazingly complex and overwhelm the average visitor. But here lies our strength: explaining to our audience what problem Twiliner solves and how we do it. The simplicity and clarity of our story is a refreshing change for many who are grateful to finally understand a problem and its solution. With Twiliner we stay grounded, even in the midst of a tech fair.
Only Elon Musk seemed to overlook us. Maybe we weren’t enough DeepTech, AI, or Web3 for him. And that’s okay. Different solutions for different problems, right?
The fair is over. We still enjoy a day in the parks of Paris, the peace, the mindfulness, and the relaxation. And we reflect on the values of Twiliner.
